Eastasiasoft Limited has confirmed that Incantation, the Asian cinematic horror adaptation of the Taiwanese film of the same name, will launch digitally on April 8, 2026. The title is set for Nintendo Switch, PS5™, Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Store for Windows. Physical editions for Nintendo Switch and PS5™ will begin shipping the same day via online retail partner Playasia. The Nintendo Switch release will also feature enhancements for Nintendo Switch 2, including improved resolution and framerate.
Players won’t have to wait until launch to sample the experience. A free demo will be available on PS5™ starting April 1, while the Xbox Series X|S demo is already live. Digital pricing has been set at US$24.99/€24.99, with a 10% launch discount available for a limited time.
Originally developed by Softstar Entertainment Inc., Incantation is a first-person horror-themed adventure presented in cinematic 3D. Eastasiasoft will handle digital publishing duties across the announced platforms. The game adapts the Taiwanese live action film of the same name, with environments designed to authentically reflect Taiwanese culture, landscapes and folklore.
The story places players in the role of a mother searching for her missing daughter. Her investigation leads her to Chen Family Village, a remote settlement haunted by an evil deity and inhabited by cultists. As Jia Jun Lee, players must explore the village, solve environmental puzzles, interact with objects and collect key items while carefully navigating supernatural threats closing in from all sides.
Beyond the oppressive atmosphere, progression hinges on piecing together fragile clues that reveal the fate of her loved one. Players will perform rituals, uncover documents and unlock new areas as they confront the consequences of crossing the forbidden line of an evil deity, all in the hope of escaping alive.
For collectors, a Limited Edition for Nintendo Switch will include the game, manual, acrylic standees, Joy-Con™ stickers, mini case, lucky charm and a numbered certificate presented in a collector’s box.
