Formula Legends has received another wave of post-launch content, with developer 3DClouds releasing the new Iconic Tracks DLC, expanding the game’s circuit roster with locations inspired by some of motorsport’s most recognisable venues.
The Iconic Tracks pack launched on April 9, 2026, continuing the game’s steady stream of updates since its original release. Rather than focusing on cars or eras this time, the DLC shifts attention to circuits, adding three new venues inspired by Austria, Malaysia and Bahrain—each recreated across multiple layouts and time periods.
In total, the pack introduces six layouts, with certain tracks offering both classic and modern configurations. Austria, for example, includes a vintage-inspired layout reminiscent of the old Österreichring alongside updated variations, while Malaysia and Bahrain focus more on later-era designs. This multi-era approach aligns closely with the game’s core concept of celebrating the evolution of Formula racing across decades.
Importantly, the new tracks are not limited to quick races or time trials. According to the developer, they are fully integrated into career mode, allowing players to experience them as part of long-term progression rather than standalone content. This ensures the DLC feels like a meaningful expansion rather than a simple add-on, particularly for players invested in the game’s structured modes.
The design of the circuits also reflects Formula Legends’ distinctive approach to licensing. Rather than using official names or exact recreations, the tracks are “inspired by” real-world locations, allowing the developers to capture the essence of iconic venues while adding their own creative twists. In some cases, this results in playful alterations to trackside scenery, reinforcing the game’s stylised identity rather than strict simulation accuracy.
This latest release highlights how actively the game is being supported. Previous updates have introduced new cars, eras, and gameplay systems, including content inspired by future Formula racing regulations. The consistent rollout of both free updates and paid expansions suggests a long-term content strategy aimed at keeping players engaged.
The timing of the Iconic Tracks DLC is also notable. By focusing on circuits rather than vehicles, it complements earlier content packs and broadens the overall experience, giving players more variety in how and where they race. For a game built around the history and diversity of Formula racing, expanding the track list is a natural next step.
The DLC is available across PC, PlayStation and Xbox platforms, with a Nintendo Switch release expected to follow at a later date. This staggered rollout mirrors previous updates and reflects the ongoing effort to maintain parity across platforms while managing technical differences.
Community reaction has largely focused on the choice of circuits, with players recognising the influence of real-world Formula 1 venues despite the game’s fictionalised approach. The addition of multiple layouts per track has also been highlighted as a strong feature, offering greater replayability and variety compared to single-layout additions.
As Formula Legends continues to expand, the Iconic Tracks DLC reinforces the game’s commitment to evolving both its content and its scope. By steadily building out its mix of cars, eras, and now circuits, the title is positioning itself as a broad celebration of Formula racing rather than a static experience.
